Andrea Navedo (Elizabeth Peña HOLA Breakthrough Award) is enjoying a thriving career. The Puerto Rican beauty is currently starring on the Golden Globe-nominated CW series “Jane The Virgin”. The show will be premiering its second season on October 12, 2015. She recently accepted the 2015 Imagen Award for Best Supporting TV Actress for her role as Xiomara Villanueva, Jane's loving and outgoing mother.
She is no stranger to popular television. She portrayed Debbie Domínguez on the hit HBO series “How To Make It In America” and recurred heavily on the various “Law & Order” franchises. She has also starred in films such as Superfast, Once Upon A Time in Queens (alongside Paul Sorvino), and the romantic drama Remember Me (opposite Robert Pattinson). A Bronx native, she
resides in New York with her husband and two kids. She also lives in Los Angeles part time for work. In her spare time, she loves taking salsa lessons and enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
The 2015 HOLA Awards will be on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Battery Gardens, in Battery Park at the southernmost tip of Manhattan, in New York City.
