Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Enmanuel García Villavicencio, shown at right, was featured in the New York weekly newspaper La Voz Hispana, where the theater festival of his company, E3Outlaws Productions, is highlighted. Titled Lorca Al Desnudo/eARTh Theater Festival, it will run in October at the Teatro Rafael Villalona at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. HOLA members participating in the festival include Telba Cavero, María Cotto, Caridad del Valle, García Villavicencio, Samuel Garnica, Alexandra Manzano, Paul Montoya, 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Héctor Luis Rivera, and Raúl Rivera. Teatro Tocando Puertas, under the auspices of its producer Edison Carrera, is presenting Dinorah Coronado's Secreto de mujeres. Directed by Carrera and starring HOLA member Gloria Ospina and Maritza Vives, the production will run in November as part of the Festival de Mujeres en Escena, taking place at the William V. Musto/Union City Museum. The production will be presented in December in New York City at the Poet's Den Theater in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood.
The Inés Gowland award-winning short film Latiner will be screened at the Corto Circuito festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at New York University's King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center, located in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood. The film stars 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Natalia Ivana Escobar, shown at left.
The Francisco Lupini Basagoiti short film Yo, la peor de todas will be screened at the Corto Circuito festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at New York University's King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center, located in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood.
