HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Olga Merediz, shown at right, will be the special guest at the live talk show "Stage Fright". Hosted by Marti Gould Cummings, the show will be on Monday, March 2, 2016 at Therapy in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. For more information on the event, click here.

Edna Lee Figueroa, Juan Carlos Díaz, and María Peyramaure are starring in Amorcito de mala muerte. Written by Carlos A. Valencia (who also stars), the play is directed by Estefanía Fadul and will be presenting in May as part of the Hispanic Federation FUERZAfest, which will take place at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood. The play will be on a double bill with Leonardo González's play La Leva (directed by Josean Ortiz). For more information, click here.

Pablo Andrade, shown at left, will be directing the Karin Valecillo play Lo que Kurt Cobain se llevó. The play will be presented by Corezón Productions in June as part of the VI Festival de Teatro Hispano del Comisionado, taking place at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU (located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood). Peter De La Cruz recorded a voiceover to introduce the circus-aerialist-burlesque show titled The Midnight Experience: Sex, Aerial and Rock'n'Roll. Produced by Brian Rardin and Kristin Olness, the show will take place on Saturdays at midnight at The Cutting Room in Midtown Manhattan.
