Nominees for the 43th annual edition of the Daytime Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), were announced on Thursday, March 24, 2016. The Daytime Emmy Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2am to 6pm during the 2015 calendar year. The ceremony will take place on May 1, 2016 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles, California. Creative Arts winners will be revealed during the Creative Arts Emmys on Friday, April 29, 2016 followed by the main ceremony on Sunday, May 1, 2016.

All in all, CNN en Español received six nominations, Univision picked up four noms, while Telemundo picked up only one nod. Both of V-me TV's nominations were for "SuperLatina with Gaby Natale" (see below). Both of Hulu's two nominations were for the Latino-produced, Latino-written series "East Los High" (see above), Hulu's first and only series with an all-Latino cast.
Latinos nominated for 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards include Adrienne Bailón (nominated with Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai and Tamar Braxton for the syndicated program "The Real") and Rosie Pérez (nominated with Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Michelle Collins, Paula Faris, Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symoné, and Nicolle Wallace for the ABC's "The View"), both up for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host; and Bruno Mars (nominated with Mark Ronson), up for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Talk Show/Morning Program for his performance of "Uptown Funk" on the syndicated talk show "The Ellen Degeneres Show". In addition, Carlos Alazraqui (Mr. Crocker in Nickelodeon's "The Fairly OddParents") and Eric Bauza (Puss in Boots and Sino in Netflix's "Puss in Boots") are nominated for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program. Pati Jinich is nominated for Outstanding Culinary Host for the PBS program "Pati's Mexican Table" (which is also nominated, along with the PBS program "Mexico One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless" for Outstanding Culinary Program). The syndicated program "The People's Court" (hosted by Marilyn Milián) received a nod for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program.
