Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Mario Golden, Vivienne Jurado, and A.B. Lugo, shown clockwise from top left, were featured in Broadway World, where their co-starring roles in the Domnica Rădulescu play Exile is My Home is highlighted. Produced by Theater for the New City (with support from OneHeart Productions), the play is having its world premiere and will be directed by Andreas Robertz. The play also stars Nikaury Rodríguez, Noemí de la Puente, David Van Leesten, and Mirandy Rodríguez, and will run in April and May at the Theater for the New City in Manhattan's East Village. Judy Torres will be singing her hits at Harrah's Philadelphia in Chester, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 16, 2016 (where she will share the bill with Stevie B, Tiffany, The Jets, and others), and at the historic St. George Theater in Staten Island on Saturday, April 23, 2016 (where she will share the bill with George LaMond, The Cover Girls, Lisette Meléndez, Noel, Nayobe, and others). Liliana Inés Barrera is the line producer and production designer of the New York production unit of the upcoming feature film Almas de furia. The film co-stars Lucio Fernández, Tony Rodríguez and Mônica Steuer, is co-produced by Rodríguez and is being co-directed by Pablo Yotich (Argentina unit) and Fernández (New York unit).
Anthony Ruiz is assistant directing the pilot "The Last Hand" (written by Paula Pizzi and Ed Trucco, and directed by Trucco). The pilot, which is currently shooting in New York City, stars Pizzi, Nelson Landrieu, Mariana Parma, Carolina Ravassa, Iván Camilo, and John J. Concado.
The II Semana Teatral de Miami en Off-Broadway festival, produced by Ángel Gil Orrios of Thalía Spanish Theatre and Yoshvani Medina of ArtSpoken Performing Arts Center, is being presented in March and April at Thalía's namesake theater located in the Sunnyside area of Queens.
