HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Cedric Leiba, Jr., shown at right, was interviewed by Bessy Reyna for the Connecticut newspaper Identidad Latina, where he spoke on his life and career and his current project– playing Jacob in the Harvey Fierstein-Jerry Herman musical La Cage aux Folles (based on Jean Poiret's play of the same name). Directed by Rob Ruggiero and choreographed by Ralph Perkins, the production is currently running through September at the Goodspeed Opera House located in East Haddam, Connecticut. To read the article (which is in Spanish), click here.

Vanessa Verduga, shown at left, is slated to join the cast of the third season of the webseries "Karma" (created, written and directed by Karlton T. Clay and produced by Victory Productions). For more information, click here and here.

Teresa Yenque can be seen reprising her recurring role as Miranda in the upcoming second season of "The Affair" (Showtime).

José Yenque is shooting the feature film A Life Lived (written by Kevin Brown and Riley Wood and directed by Wood).

Mônica Steuer co-stars in the feature film Cassanova Was A Woman (written by Jezabel Montero and directed by Kevin Arbouet), which is currently hitting the film festival circuit. Its latest stop will be in August in Los Angeles, California as an official selection of the All Things Hollywood Film Festival. The film also stars Montero, Margo Singaliese and Paolo Andino.
