HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Idalmis García, shown at right, will be acting in the Woodshed Collective's Empire Travel Agency. An interactive series of site-specific performance events ("trips") set at various locations across New York City. Directed by Teddy Bergman and Mikhael Tara Graver, the production will have performances in September and boasts design from six different designers and original text by ten different writers. 2014 HOLA Awards recipient Pablo Andrade, shown at left, was the subject of a profile in the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional, where it mentions his very successful year in New York, culminating in two 2014 HOLA Awards. To read the article (which is in Spanish), click here.

Mauricio Pita booked a role in the short film Tú. Yo. Baño. Sexo. Ahora., written and directed by Francisco Lupini Basagoiti.

Jesús E. Martínez is the voice of the new Wendy's Pulled Pork on Brioche sandwich commercial in Spanish. Hear him below by clicking here and clicking on the commercial.
Rafa Reyes, shown at right, appeared on an episode of "Yo soy el artista" (Telemundo), after reading about the casting notice from the e-mail announcements that HOLA sends to its members and self-submitting. To see him on the episode, click here.

A.B. Lugo appears in a photo cameo as "Ray" for the viral video parody (based on online dating sites). Produced by The Comedy Girls, the video stars Christine Piñeiro, Jesenia (who also wrote the sketch), Nick Balestrieri and David Wright. The video can be seen below. [Note: Some adult situations.]

If you are an HOLA member or a Friend of HOLA and want to submit a bochinche item, send us an e-mail. If you live in the New York metropolitan area and want to be an HOLA member, why not join? If you live outside the New York metropolitan area and want to be an HOLA member, you can find out more information on how to do so, by clicking here. If you are not a Friend of HOLA, why not become one?
