Ana Ortiz (HOLA José Ferrer Tespis Award) was born and raised in Manhattan to Puerto Rican parents. She broke out as Hilda Suárez in ABC's hit comedy “Ugly Betty”, earning both ALMA and Imagen Awards for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal as Betty's sassy older sister. Along with her personal recognition, the show has been honored with a 2007 Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series, two Golden Globe awards including Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical, and another 39 wins and 66 nominations. She is currently starring in Marc Cherry's hit show for Lifetime entitled “Devious Maids”, now in its second season for which she won the Imagen Award for Best Actress in a TV series this past August. Other notable credits include Sleeping with the Fishes, Big Momma's House 3, “Everybody Loves Raymond”, and HBO's “Hung”. She now resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two young children.
