HOLA Member Bochinche


Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Mike Smith Rivera acted in Asking For Trouble, a festival of 23 short plays presented over four days in October at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, located in the Hell's Kitchen/Clinton area of Manhattan. For more information, click here

Daphne Rubin-Vega will be starring opposite T.R. Knight, Kathryn Meisle, David Garrison, Anthony Michael Martínez, Elizabeth Olson and Julian Cihi in the Classic Stage Company production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (directed by Téa Alagić). The play will run in October and November at CSC, located in Manhattan's East Village. For more information, click here.

Cynthi
a Bastidas, Adriana Gaviria, Alma Martínez and 2013 HOLA Awards recipient Felix Solis star in Just Like Us. Written by Karen Zacarías and based on the book by Helen Thorpe and directed by Kent Thompson, the play is running in October and November at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in Denver, Colorado. Stereotypically Me, the short film written and directed by Linda Nieves-Powell and starring Andrea Navedo, Liza Colón-Zayas and Elaine Del Valle will have its first public screening in November at the Big Apple Film Festival, located at the Tribeca Cinemas in Manhattan.
