


Gerardo Gudiño nabbed a role in the feature film Little Galicia (written and directed by Alber Ponte).
J.W. Cortés will be performing at Stand Up For Heroes, the annual benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation. The benefit will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. Headliners for the event include Bill Cosby, Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Seinfeld, Jim Gaffigan, Jon Stewart and Roger Waters. For more information about the event, click here. In addition, the short film he wrote and directed (and in which he stars), Conscientious Objector, will receive a screening on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Bronx Documentary Center, located in The Hub of the South Bronx. The film, which was shot by Edwin Pagán, also stars Giselle Rodríguez Forté, Mônica Steuer, Martín Chávez, Jorge Humberto Hoyos, Kutcha, Marisol Carrere (see below), Gilbert Cruz, Michael Galante, Irene Pérez, Jaime Santana and Kareem Saviñón. Jay Álvarez, Marisol Carrere (see above), Fulvia Vergel, Paola Poucel, Idalmis García and María Mercedes Galuppo are in the cast of The Amazing Story of El Hombre Caimán. Based on a Colombian folk tale adapted and directed by Juan Pablo Félix (who also composed original songs for the production), it will be produced by Grace Denoncourt at Columbia Stages as part of its Columbia MFA Theatre program and will have a run in October at Columbia University's Schapiro Theater, located in the West Harlem/Manhattanville neighborhood of Manhattan. 2013 HOLA Awards recipient Mariana Parma is performing in Recuerdo, tango, a tango dance performance from The Mariela Franganillo Company. The perfomances will happen in October at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University located in the Civic Center area of Manhattan. For more information, click here.
