Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2016 HOLA Awards recipient Maite Uzal, shown at right, was interviewed by Spanish online magazine Mito Revista Cultural, where she talks of her career in New York, including her recent 2016 HOLA Award for playing the title role in Cristóbal de Virués' play La gran Semíramis. 2016 HOLA Awards recipient A.B. Lugo, shown at left, was featured in Broadway World, where the article talked of him having one of his poems read at the latest installment of the Rescate Poético event. Created by Amneris Morales, Belange Rodríguez and Carlos Manuel Rivera, this particular performance will be presented in November as part of the Borimix Puerto Rico Fest and feature the three of them and musician Emanuel Roque performing the works of Puerto Rican and Dominican poets. The event will take place at the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center (home to HOLA) in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. For more information, click here. Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, shown fourth from left in the image at right, is on the cover (along with other members of the theater group Universes) of the anthology of essays edited by Chinua Thelwell titled Theater and Cultural Politics for a New World (Routledge). For more information, click here. She can currently be seen performing with Universes in the piece they created titled Party People. Directed by Liesl Tommy, it is playing at the Public Theater in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood.

2016 HOLA Awards recipient Caridad del Valle just wrapped up prinicipal photography on the short film Who Cares About What? She starred in the film (written and directed by Yaítza Rivera) and co-produced it.
Rubén Roberto Gómez guest-starred on an episode of "Decker: Unclassified" (Cartoon Network/Adult Swim).
