Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The feature film Medardo (written by Julio Ortega and directed by Nitsy Grau) continues its award-winning run. The latest is a Golden Palm Award (Narrative Feature) from the Mexico International Film Festival. The film stars Ortega and Edna Lee Figueroa (shown in character, left to right in the photo at right), Inma Heredia, Edison Carrera, Gloria Ospina and Juan Villarreal. Luis Galli will be starring in the feature horror film Time To Fear (written and directed by Max Resto). For more information, click here.
Andrea Navedo, shown at left, will return to the New York stage with a starring role in Jerry Sterner's Other People's Money. The play (which is being produced by James Price and Navedo) will be directed by John Grabowski and run in July and August at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios in the theater district of midtown Manhattan. Navedo has just wrapped up her third season playing Xiomara Villanueva, the titular character's mother in "Jane The Virgin" (The CW).
Jorge Díaz is currently in pre-production for the upcoming webseries "Las Thespis", for which he is the creator, writer, director, producer and one of the stars.
