HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, shown at right, will be performing in DJ Latinidad's Latino Dance Party. Conceived and directed by Mark Valdez, this world premiere is comprised of commissioned work by Junot Díaz, Kristoffer Díaz, Michael John Garcés, Virginia Grise, María Isa, Melinda López, Joe Minjares, Sean San José, Tanya Saracho and Octavio Solís, and will take place in March 2016 at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Modesto Flako Jiménez and Brooklyn Gypsies are producing the One Catches Light Festival. A festival of solo shows, this year's roster includes work by writer-performers Nick E. Finn, Colie McClellan, and Bay Bryan (to be directed by Jiménez, Mark Kennedy, and Artem Yatsunov, respectively). The festival will take place in January 2016 at Jack, located in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. For more information, click herehere or here
