Alejandro González Iñárritu, Fernando Coimbra Among 2016 Directors Guild of America (DGA) Film Awards Nominees
The Directors Guild of America unveiled the five nominees for the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film. Last year’s DGA Awards winner Alejandro González Iñárritu is back again this year with 20th Century Fox’s The Revenant. The recent Golden Globe Award winner could theoretically win his second consecutive DGA Award this year. In addition, Fernando Coimbra is nominated for Outstanding Directorial Achievement of a First-Time Feature Film Director (a new category this year) with the Portuguese-language Brazilian film A Wolf at the Door (O Lobo atrás da Porta), from Outsider Pictures. Winners will be announced at the 68th annual DGA Awards on Sunday, February 6, 2016 at
the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, with Jane Lynch serving as host. For more information, click here or here.
