HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Luis Salgado, shown at right, was profiled by The New York Amsterdam News, where he was interviewed about his current gig playing Kid Rizzo and one of the titular character's cut men in Rocky: The Musical (written by Stephen Flaherty, Lynn Ahrens and Thomas Meehan, based on the screenplay of the Academy Award-winning film by Sylvester Stallone). Caridad del Valle acted in an episode in "Mortales" (Telemicro).

Yvette Quintero acted in the Rob Santana film Heysoos. The film is hitting the film festival circuit, most recently, as an official selection of the Hoboken International Film Festival, taking place in May and June at The Paramount Theater in Middletown, New York. A.B. Lugo can be seen in the short film The Audition. Written and directed by Adrian Manzano, the film also stars Sofía Rodríguez, Carolina Ravassa and Tommy 5000 and will have its world premiere in June at the Alumni Auditorium at the Columbia University Medical Center in the Dominican Film Festival of New York. Julián Juaquín is about to helm his film short El soplo del diablo (The Devil's Breath). Written by Juaquín, it stars Susana Pérez and Monte Bezell and will lens in June in New York City.

Manny Alfaro booked a voiceover for a McDonald's commercial.
