Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The Raquel Almazán-helmed feature film White Alligator, will be screening at St. Francis College's Founders Hall (located in the Brooklyn Heights section of Brooklyn) on Saturday, May 10, 2014 as an official selection of The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival. The film stars Viviana Leo (who also wrote the screenplay), Alexis Brandt, Alexis Suárez, J.W. Cortés, Jenniffer Díaz, Lisette Silva and Almazán (shown at right). Miriam Colón, along with Kate Del Castillo, Angélica María and Angélica Vale, headline the cast of Eve Ensler's Los monólogos de la vagina. Directed by Jaime Matarredona, the production will be presented in May at the Westside Theater, located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan. For more information, click here.
Daphne Rubin-Vega will reunite with Adam Pascal for a joint concert on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Highline Ballroom, located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. Rubin-Vega and Pascal originated the roles of lovers Mimi and Roger in Jonathan Larson's musical Rent (and for which both were nominated for Tony Awards).
