Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Mike Oquendo, shown at right, is presenting two new evenings of The Mikey O Show. The first, an evening of standup comedy, the show, subtitled "Stand Up For DREAMers", will take place on on Thursday, September 15, 2016, and will partially benefit The Anhelo Project. The second, an evening of stand up comedy titled "The Local Locos Laff-Jam!", will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Both events will take place at Joe's Bar in Chicago, Illinois. Gualterio Alomar, through the Organization for Culture of Hispanic Origins (OCHO), is presenting an evening of art, literature, film and Hispanic culture. The evening will feature writer Jonathan Marcantoni with special guests Johanna Tolentino, Orlando Ferrand, and Nelson Antonio Denis, and a sneak preview of a new documentary.
