Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2016 HOLA Awards recipient Pablo García Gámez, shown at right, was featured in the Argentinean blog Alternativa Teatral, where it highlighted his award-winning play Noche tan linda, currently being presented by LugarOtro Estudio Teatral at DelBorde Espacio Teatral, located in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Capital Federal. The feature film 11:55 (written by Víctor Almanzar, Ari Issler, and Ben Snyder, and directed by Issler and Snyder) is hitting the film festival circuit. The film which co-stars David Zayas and Erick Betancourt and is produced by Danny Mendoza, is an official selection of the Woodstock Film Festival, taking place in Woodstock, New York. Edmi De Jesús and Edna Lee Figueroa, shown left to right, in character, in photo at left, were interviewed for the Southeast Florida daily newspaper El Nuevo Herald, where they talked of their upcoming production of Santa Bárbara es una femme fatale. Written by Camila Monclova and Mariana Monclova and directed by Jorge Dieppa, it will be presented in September at the ArtSpoken Performing Arts Center in Miami, Florida. Yvette Quintero and Kathy Tejada are starring in 2 veces De Grandy. Two short plays (El probador and Traducción libre) by 2016 HOLA Awards recipient Julie De Grandy, the TEBA production is directed by 2016 HOLA Awards recipient Héctor Luis Rivera and will be presented in September at the Broadway Blackbox Theater in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. In addition, Quintero is producing and starring a workshop of Rob Santana's play The Other Mary, a play she commissioned from Santana. The workshop will be directed by Charles Navarrete and presented on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Theater for the New City (located in Manhattan's East Village).
