Nominations for the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were announced on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 by Anna Faris, Anthony Mackie and SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President Gabrielle Carteris at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.
Given by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), the SAG Awards recognize outstanding performances in film and primetime television.
Louis C.K. is nominated for two awards, one in film and one in television. He is nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture as part of the cast of the film Trumbo, as well as for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor for his television series "Louie" (FX).
Other nominees of Latino/Hispanic descent include Rico Rodríguez and Sofía Vergara for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Comedy Series as part of the cast of "Modern Family" (ABC); and Jackie Cruz, Diane Guerrero, 2015 HOLA Awards honoree Selenis Leyva, Jessica Pimentel, 2015 HOLA Awards honoree Dascha Polanco, and Elizabeth Rodríguez for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Comedy Series as part of the cast of "Orange is the New Black" (Netflix), which won the award last year.
The 2016 SAG Awards will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, January 30, 2016 following voting by the 165,000 members of SAG-AFTRA. The telecast will air live on TNT and TBS. For more information, click here.
