HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Luis Salgado, shown at right, was featured in a photoessay in Playbill Online where it shows a day in his life (including his performing in the current Broadway musical On Your Feet!: The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan; book by 2015 HOLA Awards honoree Alexander Dinelaris, music by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, directed by Jerry Mitchell, and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo). FF Productions is presenting Belén, el musical. Written and directed by Francis Fanini, the musical stars 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Juan Villarreal, Ramón Hierro (who also assistant directed), Alberto Burgos, Yanet Betances, Digna Carvajal, Piedad Castaño, Undelaibery Peña, and others. The holiday musical, about the birth of Jesus Christ, will tour the NYC metropolitan area with stops in Queens's Corona neighborhood (Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Leo Catholic Church); Manhattan's Washington Heights (Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Fort George Presbyterian Church); Jersey City, New Jersey (Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Source of Salvation Christian Church); and Brooklyn's East New York neighborhood (Wednesday, December 23, 2015). Elaine Del Valle, shown at left, booked a role in the episode entitled "Skeletons" of the television series "I Love You... But I Lied" (Lifetime Movie Club/A&E).

Mónica Delgado will be performing with members of the Colombian folkloric dance company Pajarillo Pinta'o in a production of El pesebre. Written, directed and starring 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Germán Jaramillo, the production will take place on Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Peter's Church, located in Manhattan's East Side.
