Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Manuel A. Morán, shown at right, was mentioned in a blog from Puerto Rican television station WIPR, where highlighted the 2015 HOLA Award-winning production of Sueño. The production, written by Norge Espinosa and directed by Morán, will be part of the 51st annual Festival de Teatro Internacional of the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña (ICP), which is also dedicated to Morán. Sueño will take place in December in the Esplanade at the world famous El Castillo San Felipe del Morro (more commonly known as El Morro) in Viejo San Juan, Puerto Rico. To read the blog, click here.
Víctor Cruz is hosting the twelfth annual East Harlem Holiday Tree lighting on Friday, December 11, 2015. The tree lighting will take place at Franklin Plaza at East 106th Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood. For more information, click here.
