Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Modesto Flako Jiménez, shown at right, is co-starring Academy Award winner Frances McDormand and Elizabeth LeCompte in Early Shaker Spirituals. Developed and produced by The Wooster Group, the piece is directed by Kate Valk, and is being presented in December at Spiral Hall, as part of the Sound Live Tōkyō festival in the Minato-ku ward of Tōkyō, Japan. 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Pablo García Gámez, shown at left, was featured in Vice Versa magazine where it mentions that his award-winning play Noche tan linda (which won several HOLA Awards in 2014) was presented in December by LugarOtro Estudio Teatral (under the direction of Romina Oslé) at the Teatro del Abasto in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Carlo Lorenzo García is directing a production of David Mamet's American Buffalo. Produced by the Mary-Arrchie Theatre Company, it will be run from January through March 2016 at Angel Island Theater, located in the Lake View section of Chicago, Illinois.
