HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Joel Luna, shown at right, booked a role on the television series "A Perfect Murder" (Investigation Discovery) after the casting director found his profile in the HOLA online directory and called him in to audition.

Suni Reyes booked a role on the series "Master of None" (Netflix), starring Aziz Ansari (who also created, co-directed and co-wrote the series). She can be seen on the seventh episode of the show's first season.

2015 HOLA Awards Performer's Choice Award recipient Omar Pérez recently presented a workshop of his latest theater project, titled More To Life, at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.

Johary Ramos, Edna Lee Figueroa and Fermín Suárez were featured in the Héctor Luis Sin Censura blog (written by 2015 HOLA Awards recipient Héctor Luis Rivera), where their performing in the Teatro Círculo production Los titingós de Juan Bobo, was highlighted. The Carlos Ferrari play is being directed by José Cheo Oliveras, and will have a December run at Teatro Círculo's namesake space located in Manhattan's East Village.
