HOLA Member Bochinche


Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Luis Antonio Ramos is on the cover of the December 2013 issue of Latin Trends magazine, where he is among the 2013 Latin Trendsetters named by the magazine. Esaí Morales, shown at left, will play the President of the United States in "The Brink", an HBO pilot directed by Jay Roach from a script by Roberto Benabib and Kim Benabib and executive produced by Jerry Weintraub. Teatro Coronado is presenting Ya viene Abuela. The play, written by Dinorah Coronado and directed by Raúl Rivera, will be presented in December at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en los EEUU, located in Manhattan's Dominican Heights neighborhood. The play stars Digna Carvajal, Helen Rodríguez, Agar García, Amado Marte, Jorge Nieto and Gloria Almánzar.

Ángel Fajardo booked a role on "Raising Hope" (Fox).

IATI Theater, in association with Artistas Españolas-New York (AENY) is presenting Alfredo Sanzol's Días estupendas. Directed by Ignacio García Bustelo, the play stars 2013 HOLA Awards recipient Pep Muñoz,
Ricardo Birnbaum, María Cuartero, María Peyramaure and Xabi Soret, and will take place in January at IATI's namesake theater in Manhattan's East Village. For more information about the production, click here or here.

2013 HOLA Awards recipient Josean Ortiz will be playing the title role in the self-penned solo show Bola de Nieve. Directed by Ortiz, the show deals with the life of Afro-Cuban singer-songwriter-pianist Bola de Nieve ( Ignacio Jacinto Villa). Produced by Amigos del Corralón, the show will take place in December at the Corralón de San José in Viejo San Juan, Puerto Rico
