HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members are in boldface.

There will be a screening of the Gerardo Naranjo-helmed film
Miss Bala as part of the Trans-Border Institute’s 2012 Border Film Week (held at the end of March 2012). The film, starring José Yenque, will be shown at the Warren Auditorium in Mother Rosalie Hill Hall in the University of San Diego of San Diego, California. For more information, click here or here.

Débora Balardini and Sandie Luna star in Four-Legged Melancholy (Ou Melancolia em Quatro Patas). Directed by Balardini and Luna, the show will be produced as in March at the Teatro José Maria Santos part of the Festival de Teatro de Curitiba in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. For more information, click here or here.

Caridad De La Luz (also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja or by her Taíno name Kachianao) will host the fourth annual Taíno Awards on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Mi Gente Café in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. For more information, click here.
