HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Rubén Roberto Gómez, shown at right, executive produced and stars in The Remake. The feature film is written and directed by Lynne Alana Delaney (who also costars) and co-stars Sally Kellerman, Robert Romanus, June Lockhart, Patrika Darbo, Sheila Korsi, and Larry King. The award-winning feature is currently hitting the film festival circuit. For more information, click here.

2016 HOLA Awards honoree Víctor Cruz can be seen in a web and broadcast New York Lottery commercial geared for the Spanish-speaking market.

Iliana Guibert, shown at left, is starring in the film Twice Upon A Time. Written by Guibert (who also executive produced) and directed by Paul Borghese, the short film, inspired by true events, won Best Short Feature Film at the Nyack Film Festival in Nyack, New York.

After success on the New York stage, Alicia Kaplan and Danisarte took Soliluna, a bilingual interactive musical series of folktales from the five continents, to tour the international stage. Created and directed by, and co-starring Kaplan (with technical direction by Hernán Acuña), the production toured Colombia in August with stops in Pereira and Santa Rosa de Cabal (both in Risaralda). Danisarte was also enlisted by Governor of the Risaralda Department, Sigifredo Salazar Osorio, to partner up with his arts-in-education initiative, titled Presupuesto Participativo.
