HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip". In this sense, we use it to highlight HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Caridad del Valle was profiled in the New York weekly newspaper Impacto Latin News, in an article by Manolo García Oliva, where her starring role in the Pablo García Gámez solo show Yo no soy Lupita was featured. Produced by Teátrica and directed by Leyma López, the show will be presented in May at the Broadway Blackbox Theater, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. R.Evolución Latina is presenting a performance by the Peruvian dance group Proyecto Milagros (led by Harold Echevarría). It will take place on Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016 at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood.

Luis Salgado, shown at left, was interviewed by Juan David Cardozo on the radio program "W Fin de Semana" (W Radio Colombia) where the actor-singer-dancer-choreographer-director-producer talked of how he made it to Broadway. (Salgado is currently in the cast of the Estefan-Estefan-Dinelaris Broadway musical On Your Feet!: The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan (currently playing at the Marquis Theatre). Modesto Flako Jiménez is starring in Bottom of the Scrum. Written by John Budge and directed by Charles Quittner, the play will be presented in May at Dixon Place in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. For more information, click here.
