HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Moisés Acevedo, shown at right, acted in the two short films Mama (written and directed by Jinwei Zang) and Ted Talks (written and directed by Pedro Gómez). In addition, he booked a recurring role in an upcoming Netflix original series scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2015.

Enmanuel García Villavicencio, Ramón Hierro and Yvette Quintero are starring in the TEBA production of José Adolfo Pichardo's La otra cara de Nadís. Directed by Raúl Rivera, the show will take place in March at the Broadway Blackbox Theater, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood.

José A. Esquea is directing the film St. Nicholas. Written by AR García, the film is based on his solo show I Love Them All and stars Monte Bezell and García. The film is in production in New York City.

Gladys K. Nilsen, shown at leftis one of the performers who broke the record for "longest variety show ever". The variety show ran for 60 straight hours (January 1-4, 2015) at The Metropolitan Room (located in Manhattan's Flatiron District) and will be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
