HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Maite Uzal, shown at right, was interviewed in the Spaniard daily paper El Correo Gallego, where she spoke on her life and career as an actress and singer in New York. To read the article, which is in Spanish, click here

April is National Poetry Month and two
HOLA members (who also happen to be poets) were featured in two different blogs. [Shown below, left to right, in the photo below left: A.B. Lugo, Caridad de la Luz "La Bruja" at a recent HOLA Awards ceremony.]

Caridad de la Luz (also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja) was featured in the APlus blog, which talked about her career as poet-actress-singer-activist. To read the blog, click here.

A.B. Lugo was the featured poet in the Latina Book Club blog, which also features two excerpts of poems featured in his debut solo collection Spanish Coffee: Black, No Sugar (published by La Casita Grande Press). The book is currently available for pre-orders, with an official release date of Tuesday, May 9, 2017. For more information on the book (including how to pre-order), click here.
