Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Edna Lee Figueroa, shown at right, is assistant directing and stage managing Charles Rice-González's Los Nutcrackers: A Christmas Carajo. Directed by Luis Caballero, the play will take place in December at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (BAAD!), located in the Westchester Square area of the Bronx. For more information, click here.

2016 HOLA Awards recipient A.B. Lugo, shown at left, did a voiceover for the play The Years. Written by Cindy Lou Johnson and directed by Basil Rojas, the Sleeping Satellites Productions/Brazen Acorn Productions presentation stars Xandra Leigh Parker, Tamra Paselk, Jan Kutrzeba, Jesse Corbin, Christina Roman, and Jonathan Demar, and is running in October at the Fourth Street Theater in Manhattan's East Village. Raúl Rivera directed Rafael García's La última cita. The play was produced in October as part of the Lorca Al Desnudo IV/eARTh Theatre Festival at 777 Theater (Stage II), located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.
