The National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts (NHFA) is a not-for-profit organization was founded in 1997 by actors Esaí Morales (also an honorary HOLA member), Sônia Braga, Jimmy Smits (also an honorary HOLA member), Merel Juliá (also an HOLA Advisory Board member) and attorney Félix Sánchez to promote Latinos both in front of and behind the camera.
