HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members are in boldface.

The film Changing Diego was screened at the NYC Downtown Feature Film Festival, located at the Duo Multicultural Arts Center in Manhattan's East Village. The film was written by Abraham Aponte and directed by Will Fonseca, the film stars Anthony Cruz, Yomaris Maldonado, Sean Manning, Will Fonseca, Juan Sarmiento, Michael Díaz, Rachel Strauss, Edison Carrera, Gloria Zelaya, María Teresa Silva, Yanelba Ferreira, Glenys Javier, Vanessa Benítez, Ura Yoana Sánchez, Lorena Jorge, Elliott Mayer, Jenn Pinto and Noriko Sato.

IShowNYC Productions is producing Mujeres de par en par. Written by Indira Páez and directed by Alfonso Rey, the "café-cabaret" will have a run in March and April in the Teatro-Bar Times Square at the Roy Arias Studios and Theaters in the theater district of midtown Manhattan and stars Beatriz Castillo, Zulema Clares, Mariana Buoninconti, Malena Ramírez, Mafer Rodríguez and Rey.

Manuel Morán can currently be seen playing Cuban journalist Ramiro Martínez in the off-Broadway musical DC-7: The Roberto Clemente Story (written by Luis Caballero and Harold Gutiérrez and directed by Caballero). The show, which also stars Modesto Lacén, Josean Ortiz, Lorraine Vélez and Omar Pérez, is currently showing at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre in the theater district in midtown Manhattan. Recently, Morán met Ramiro Martínez in Puerto Rico and Puerto Rican newspaper Primera Hora was there to take photos and do an interview. To read the interview (which is in Spanish), click here.
