HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members who are getting acting and performance gigs. The names of HOLA members are in boldface.

Ángel Pastrana will be acting in the Manhattan Repertory Theatre (MRT) production of From the Inside. Written and directed by Richard Thomas Henle, the play also stars Félix Hiciano, Kathleen Wilce, Kerri Evans and Rosanna Plasencia and will have a March run at the MRT, located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan. Suni Reyes and Gaby Dunn will be performing in Jew-Rican Cocktail. Produced by Mafer Rodríguez and IShowNYC Productions, the production will take place at the Teatro Bar Times Square in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.

Jeffrey Hernández appeared in the film short Executive Ensemble. Directed by Katherine P. Picariello, the film was part of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts' 48 Hour Film Festival and screened at the Cantor Film Center in Manhattan's West Village, where it placed as one of the festival's top 25 films.

Eduardo Leáñez will be performing in the solo show You Are Confused! Written by Leáñez and Patrick E. Horrigan and directed by Rosalie Purvis, it will be presented for a March run at the Atlantic Theater Stage 2, located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood.

Nanda Abella will be performing alongside writer-creator Eve Ensler in a production of The Vagina Monologues as part of V-Day New York 2012. V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. The production will take place at Cooper Union Hall in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood and will benefit The National Domestic Workers Alliance and The Voices of Women Organizing Project (VOW). Phoenix Ximénez will also be performing in Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues as part of V-Day Hoboken 2012. It will be produced by The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC), will take place at Monroe TheatreSpace at Monroe Center for the Arts, and is a benefit for WomenRising.
