HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Luis Carlos de la Lombana, shown at rightwill be starring in the feature film Friends of Rome (written and directed by Gaba Michael Igereh Ado). The film will shoot in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is scheduled for release in 2016.

Sebastian Stimman is starring in the feature film 1.7 Alpha (written, scored and directed by Quanah Jay Hicks), which is hitting the film festival circuit. Its next stop is the Hudson Valley International Film Festival, where it is scheduled to screen in August at the Monroe 6 Theater in Monroe, New York. For more information, click here.

The Warrior of Hope photo series (photographed by Lester Blum; styled by Dmitry Byalik; co-conceived and featuring Vladimir Ríos, in character at left, as the titular character) will be exhibited and have its opening in July at a gallery show at the Project Space of the Leslie Lohman Museum and Gallery in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. The Warrior of Hope personifies the concept of "hope" for those who are ill, downtrodden, and oppressed against inequality, injustice, and disease. For more information, click herehere and here.

Jason Torres booked a recurring role on the second season of "Surviving the Undead" (MyNetworkTV), written by Austin Muratori and directed by Todd E. Braley.
