Around the Block/Al Doblar La Esquina is presenting a series of six short plays with the common theme of the economy. Entitled Recovery Blip or Double Dip?, the plays are written by Edgar Chisholm, Nina Howe, Carlos Jerome, William Marley, Marcia Slatkin and Allan Yashin, respectively, and are directed by Alliston Astor-Vargas, Sam Gordon and Andreas Robertz. The production will take place in November and December at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre at the Abingdon Theater Complex, located in the fashion district of midtown Manhattan. The production features Vincent Bagnall, Elizabeth Bove, Phillip Filiato, Patt Franklin, Halli Herzog, Joe Albert Lima, A.B. Lugo, Nikaury Rodríguez and Andrew Vargas Stehney.
