HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Ricardo J. Salazar, shown at right, was cast in the production of Guillem de Castro's play La fuerza de la costumbre (directed by Freddy Mancilla) after receiving the casting notice in the daily announcements that HOLA sends to its members and self-submitting. The play (which also stars Mauricio Pita, Nanda Abella and Juan Carlos Díaz) is set for an August and September run at Repertorio Español in the Rose Hill neighborhood of Manhattan. Abdel González can be seen in an international print ad campaign for Apple.

Kiki Meléndez can be seen as a panelist, along with host Elizabeth Espinosa, on the television series “Sin límites” (CNN Latino).

Tony Chiroldes will be acting in an upcoming production of the musical In The Heights (written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes) in August and September at the New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For more information, click here and here.
