HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Jeannie Sol, shown at right, has a weekly Sunday night residency at FairyTail Lounge in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan. Her show will be broadcast on internet radio by Legends of Freestyle. For more information about the broadcast, click here. She is also directing Eileen Torres-Thomas' self-penned solo show And Justice For All. The show will take place in August at the Kraine Theater in Manhattan's East Village. Omar Pérez will be well represented in the Unboxed Voices Second Annual Short Play Festival. Not only is he one of the actors, one of his plays will be produced in the festival as well. Raoul Daniel Luna will be presenting a workshop of his self-penned solo show My Last, Best Spouse... How Lance Loud Saved My Life. Directed by A.B. Lugo (see below), the workshop is part of the NYC Fresh Fruit Festival and the presentation will take place on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Nuyorican Poets' Café in Manhattan's Loísaida neighborhood. Due to popular demand, Éric-Dominique Pérez's self-penned solo show El Gringuito will be presented again in Union City, New Jersey, this time in Ellsworth Park. Directed by A.B. Lugo (see above) and assistant directed by Billy Martin Mejía, the show will take place as part of the annual Union City Arts and Crafts and Music Festival on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
