Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Laura Patalano booked a role on the feature film The Young Kielowski (directed by Kerem Sanga).

Jesús E. Martínez and Raquel Almazán will be among the performers in From Breast Cancer to Broadway. A co-production between Pregones Theater and Lincoln Medical Center (through the latter's Arts Exchange program), the production celebrates the voices of breast cancer survivors in an engaging series of stories written by the women themselves (with playwright Bridgette Wimberly). Directed by Elise Hernández, the production will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Pregones' eponymous theater, located in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx.

Carlos A. González will be doing standup comedy on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Niko's in White Plains, New York, where he will share the bill with Lori Sommer, Jim Mendrinos, Nick Alexander, Aldo Marachlian and Ray Marshall.

Kiki Meléndez, through her production company, Latin Hollywood, will produce Joey Vega's self-penned comedy 50 Shades of Love, Sex & Marriage, which will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in The Main Room of the world famous comedy club, The Comedy Store (located in West Hollywood, California).
