Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Teatro Vanguardia USA is presenting Repercusiones en torno a un asesinato, con final orgiástico. Written by Enrique Buenaventura, it is adapted and directed by Iván L. Argudo, shown at left, and will have a February run at the Royale Theater in the Producers Club Theaters complex, located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan. The play boasts Claudio Weisz (shown at right), Jessica Florí, Ana Montero, Raúl Rivera, Fior Marte, William Pérez, Olga Camil, Carlos Solís and Ivonne Martínez in the cast. Elaine Del Valle will be presenting her award-winning self-penned solo show Brownsville Bred at  New Jersey City University. The show, directed by Pamela Moller Kareman, will be performed on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Margaret Williams Theater in the heart of the Greenville neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey. A.B. Lugo booked a role in Adrián Manzano's short film The Audition. The short also stars Sofía Rodríguez, Carolina Ravassa, Sofía Rodríguez and Tommy5000.

Mario Barreiro and Marga Mitchell will sing in The Best of Tango/Lo mejor de tango. They will join Latin Grammy winner (and bandoneón master) Raúl Jaurena; dancers Yaisuri Salamanca, John Hernán Raigosa, Tanya Gutiérrez, Jhair Volpini; and musicians Maurizio Najt, Leo Grinhauz and Jorge Longo in this music and dance revue produced, designed and directed by Ángel Gil Orrios, which will run from the end of January through March 2014 at Thalía Spanish Theatre in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Queens.
