Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface.
Marco Antonio Rodríguez's play La Luz de un cigarrillo (Ashes of Light) will be added and studied at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey as part of the curriculum of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Department of Latino and Hispanic Caribbean Studies. The play was produced in New York, where it was also directed by Rodríguez, shown at right, featured an all-HOLA member cast and garnered numerous HOLA Awards before being published.
José Roldán, Jr. and Caridad de la Luz will star in the production Crime Against Humanity. Written and directed by Reyes, the play also features Albania Matos, Graciano Matos, Christina Pagán, Michael A. Reyes and Natalia Rodríguez in the cast and will have a January run in the Red Carpet Theater located in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood. For more information, click here.
Dinorah Coronado and Marisol Carrere will star in the production Secretos de mujer. Written by Coronado and directed by Iván Argudo, the play also stars Olga Camil and Raúl Rivera and will have a January run at the Lehman Studio Theater in the Bedford Park area of the Bronx.
Tony Chiroldes and Blanca Camacho will perform in the popular "Broadway on 22nd Street" cabaret series presented by The Metropolitan Room. They will join Will Pérez, Courtney Reed and Marcus Paul James for a night of song. Tracy Stark will be the musical director. The performance will be on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the boîte located in Manhattan's Flatiron District. For more information, click here.
