HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Manolo García Oliva wrote a wrap-up article about the 47th annual Latin ACE Awards, presented at the end of March by the Asociación de Cronistas de Espectáculos de Nueva York (ACE) in the New York weekly newspaper Impacto Latin News. HOLA members and Friends of HOLA mentioned in the article include Pablo Andrade, Iván L. Héctor Luis Rivera (see above), shown at leftwrote his latest "Chismorreo" column (not to be confused with any other "bochinche" coulmn) for the Héctor Luis Sin Censura blog. In it, he highlights the latest events of the New York Latino theater, film, and entertainment scene. HOLA members in his latest column include Iván L. Lisann Valentín's short film Our Quiet Night (which she wrote, directed and produced, and in which she stars) is an official selection of The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, taking place in May at St. Francis College in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. In addition to Valentín, shown at right, the film also stars Justin De La Cruz and J. De La Cruz. The screening will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
