HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. A.B. Lugo, Alexandra Manzano, Kathy Tejada and Héctor Luis Rivera were featured in the ArteNY blog, where they are mentioned for the upcoming Teatro Experimental Blue Amigos (TEBA) production of Elena Garro's A Solid Home. Directed by Rivera (also see below), the play also stars Yanet Betances, Dennis Maragliano, J. Edgar Mozoub, Jennifer Quinn, and María Richardson in the cast, and will be presented in June at the Broadway Blackbox Theater, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. Bianka Gómez is starring in the Alejandro Licona play La que hubiera amado tanto. Directed by Ernesto De Villa Bejjani, the 88 Performing Arts production will be presented in May at the V Festival del Comisionado Dominicano at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood.  

Claudio Bandini, shown at right, is starring in Beatriz Cabur's play Ronensbourgh. Presented by AENY-Spanish Artists in New York, it will be directed by Ignacio García Bustelo and presented in May and June 2015 at IATI Theater in Manhattan's East Village. For more information, click here.

Ely Beri and Raúl Torres are starring in the play Pánico moral. Written and directed by Domingo Ramos (and based on his novel of the same name), this Teatro Dramos production will be presented in June at the V Festival del Comisionado Dominicano at the Comisionado Dominicano de Cultura en EEUU, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood.
