Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Julio Ortega, shown at right, was profiled in the New York daily newspaper El Diario-La Prensa, where highlighted his feature film Medardo (which he wrote and starred), based on his award-winning stage play of the same name and directed by Nitsy Grau Crespo. In addition to Ortega, the film stars Lupita Ferrer, Edna Lee Figueroa, Juan Villarreal, Edison Carrera, Gloria Ospina, Fior Marte, and Inma Heredia. Jason Aguirre wrote the story for the upcoming 5 Senses Theatre production of the third installment of the anthology known as krāv. Pronounced "crave", this interactive, improvisational, theatrical supper club experience is directed by Daniel Adams and features a four-course tasting menu with beverage pairings by Chef Rick Martínez. The production will take place in June at a to-be-announced location in New York City (ticketholders receive the event location 24 hours before the performance via text message). Thalía Hispanic Theatre is presenting Antonio Muñoz de Mesa's play Abuso (Abuse). Directed by Ángel Gil Orrios, shown at left, the production (which will be presented with Spanish and English performances) has an all-HOLA member cast consisting of Soledad López and Francisco Fuertes.
