Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Paul Montoya, Caridad del Valle (also see below), and Ivonne Martínez were featured in an article by Carlos Navedo of the New York newspaper Impacto Latin News as a result of the Teatro Vanguardia USA production El barco ébrio (written by Jorge Dávila Vázquez and directed by Iván L. Argudo, both also highlighted in the article), which took place in May at the Producers' Club Theater (located in the theater district of midtown Manhattan). The Francisco Lupini Basagoiti short film Tú. Yo. Baño. Sexo. Ahora. (starring Francisco Fuertes and Mauricio Pita) continues its journey on the film festival circuit, with a stop at the FilmOut San Diego Film Festival, which will take place in May in San Diego, California. Teatro Experimental Blue Amigos (TEBA) is presenting Elena Garro's A Solid Home. Directed by Héctor Luis Rivera (also see below), the play stars Yanet Betances, A.B. Lugo, Alexandra Manzano, Dennis Maragliano, J. Edgar Mozoub, Jennifer Quinn, María Richardson, and Kathy Tejada, and will be presented in June at the Broadway Blackbox Theater, located in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood. The blog dealt with the fashions shown at the recent Premios Asociación de Teatro Independiente in New York this past March.
