HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Idalmis García, shown at right, was profiled in the Hip Latina blog, where she spoke about her career in stage (with theater companies Repertorio Español, Pregones-PRTT and Woodshed Collective) and screen (the feature films Los dioses rotos and Conducta). To read the interview, click here.

Jaime Carrillo booked a role in the television series "Hack My Life" (truTV).

Olga Merediz can be seen reprising her recurring role of Lourdes in the third season of "Orange is the New Black" (Netflix).

Suni Reyes, shown at left, is one of the writers of the latest edition of the live sketch comedy show "He Said, She Said", scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre, located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. For more information, click here. In addition, she co-starred in two comedy videos from the online network Flama– one titled "Girls Do It Too" (a mock public service announcement), and one titled "If Mexicans Celebrated the 4th [of July] Like Americans Celebrate Cinco De Mayo". The videos can be seen below.
