HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Víctor Cruz is co-starring in the feature film Crazy Famous. Written by Robert Farkas and directed by Paul Jarrett, the film is currently hitting the film festival circuit, most recently screening in April at the New York City International Film Festival.

Edmi De Jesús is starring in Tere Martínez's solo show Mi última noche con Rubén Blades. Directed by Gerardo Gudiño, the production will be presented in April as part of The One Festival at Teatro Círculo in Manhattan's East Village. For more information, click here.

Luis Salgado and Rafael Beato, shown above, left to right, are featured in a Broadway World photo flash article for their roles as director-choreographer and Sonny, respectively, in the GALA Hispanic Theatre production of the Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes musical In The Heights. That production will be the U.S. premiere of the Spanish-language version of the musical, which will run in April and May at GALA's eponymous theater in the North West area of Washington, District of Columbia. To read the article (and see rehearsal photos), click here.
