Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. Edmi De Jesús and Gerardo Gudiño, shown at right, from left to right and also see below, were mentioned in Broadway World on account of the former starring in Tere Martínez's solo show Mi última noche con Rubén Blades (to be directed by the latter). Pablo García Gámez and Rosie Berrido, shown above, left to right, were featured in the El Blog de Pablo as a result of his two-hander Olvidadas, being presented in May as part of the Callback Series 2017 by and at Teatro Círculo, located in Manhattan's East Village. Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, shown, in character, at center in the photo at left, wielding sword, is featured in two articles in Broadway World. She, along with Steven Sapp and William "Ninja" Ruiz, collectively known as the performance group Universes, wrote the new musical UniSon. Inspired by the poetry of August Wilson, the piece was developed and directed by Robert O'Hara and will have its world premiere at the Angus Bowmer Theater at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) in Ashland, Oregon, where it will run from April through October. Edna Lee Figueroa, shown at right, and Edmi De Jesús (also see above), were featured in the El Blog de Pablo as a result of starring in the Joselo Arroyo play Máscaras afuera. The two-hander play was written by Joselo Arroyo, the play (adapted for an all-female cast from the original all-male cast by Figueroa) will be directed by Gerardo Gudiño (also see above) and presented as part of the FUERZAfest - Latino LGBTQ Fest, taking place in May at the Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood.
