Erick Betancourt, shown at right, was featured Broadway World, where he was mentioned for starring opposite Karen Kandel in the Camilo Almonacid two-hander The Assignment. Directed by Emily Joy Weiner, the Houses on the Moon/Rhymes Over Beats co-production is running in repertory with gUN COUNTRY [sic], created by Houses on the Moon and curated by Jeffery Solomon and Weiner and directed by Jenna Worsham. The shows will run in April and May at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres, located in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen/Clinton neighborhood. Caridad de la Luz (also known by her nom de poésie et de musique La Bruja), shown at left, will be hosting the Mommy & Me fashion show, presented by Bronx Fashion Week and Affinity Health Plan. The show will take place on Saturday afternoon, May 13, 2016 at the Mall at Bay Plaza, located in the Baychester area of the Bronx. For more information, and to get tickets, click here. In addition, she will be an honoree at the 2017 edition of The 116th Street Festival. The festival, in its 32nd year, is the biggest Latino festival in the Northeast United States, will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017 (the day before the National Puerto Rican Parade) in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood.
Maite Uzal, shown at right, was featured in Broadway World, where she is noted as being one of the featured singers of the original cast album for Chip Deffaa's trailblazing off-off-Broadway musical, Mad About the Boy. The musical broke box-office records at New York's venerable 13th Street Theater (in Manhattan's West Village), will be released Friday, April 28, 2017. Daniel Anthony Hidalgo and Marisol Carrere, shown left to right, at left, will co-star with David M. Farrington in Camilo Almonacid's Wepa! Directed by Ángel Morales, the production is being presented as part of the FuerzaFest (presented by the Hispanic Federation), scheduled to take place in May at the Julia De Burgos Cultural Center in Manhattan's El Barrio neighborhood.
