HOLA Member Bochinche


Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface.

Ron Sarcos, shown at right, will be starring in Dario Fo and Franca Rame's play The Virtuous Burglar. Directed by Enmanuel García Villavicencio, the play will be presented in April and May at Roy Arias Studios in the theater district of midtown Manhattan.


Raquel Almazán presented her play The River's Edge as part of an evening of six short plays titled Love and Death. Directed by Juan Pablo Félix, the cast was comprised of Crystal Lee, Marcel Spears, Angelica Gregory, Almazán and Félix and was presented at Columbia University's Schapiro Theatre in the Manhattanville/West Harlem section of Manhattan.

Teatro Tocando Puertas and Angel Falls, Inc. are presenting El osito manhatero. Written by Sonia Suárez Schwartz and directed by Edison Carrera, it will have a run in May run in the Roy Arias Studios in the theater district of midtown Manhattan and feature Edward Azcorra, Carrera, William Pérez, James Bayona, Yanira Aparicio, Patrick Kuhn and Gloria Ospina in the cast.

Carlos A. González recently did a standup comedy set at NY Comedy Club, located in the Rose Hill section of Manhattan.

"Justice Woman", the web series created, written and starring Vanessa Verduga, will be screened on April 20, 2013 at the Boston Comic Con Film Festival in (natch) Boston, Massachusetts. For more information, click here.
