HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to "gossip." In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface.

Marco Antonio Rodríguez, shown at right, is pleased to let us know that his award-winning play La Luz de un cigarrillo, will be produced in the Dominican Republic by Teatro Las Máscaras in Santo Domingo with a local cast led by award-winning director Germana Quintana. More details to follow.

Ángel Fajardo can be seen in the web series "Finding Normal" (created and written by Lisa Coombs and directed by Cooper Griggs). For more information, click here.

Tony Chiroldes, shown at left, recorded the audiobook of President Barack Obama’s Of Thee I Sing: A Letter To My Daughters, in Spanish for the Library of Congress. Its Spanish title is A ti te canto: Una carta a mis hijas. The audiobook was directed by Manuel Herrera.

Mateo Gómez and Ana Montero will star in La Jom Atenda. Produced by Teatro LATEA and Teatro Las Tablas, the play is written by Diógenes Abreu and directed by Nelson Landrieu and will be presented in May.

Laura Gómez's short film, To Kill a Roach, was presented with two other short films (by Freddy Vargas and Yanillys Pérez, respectively) at the Havana Film Festival in New York. The film starred Gómez, Iván Camilo, Jenniffer Díaz, Gabriela García, Rosie Berrido, Gabriel Gutiérrez and Puy Navarro in the cast; Edwin Pagán photographed the film.
